Job summary

Cook & Boardman, LLC is seeking an Estimator to interpret total opening requirements from contract documents and to price projects using Comsense cost files. The role requires math accuracy and strong attention to detail.

You will work closely with contractors and project teams, review plans and specifications, perform takeoffs of door and hardware, and translate drawings into cost estimates while adhering to deadlines and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of related experience in construction or building materials.
• Accurate mathematical skills.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Interpret opening requirements and price projects from contract documents.
• Review scope with general contractor pre/post bid and determine competitive position.
• Perform labor cost interpretation based on scope of work.
• Review plans and specifications for familiarization and completeness.
• Enter information into Comsense and price job based on cost files.
• Prepare complete door opening and hardware takeoffs and costing.
• Support other duties as assigned.
