Job summary

Keller Foundations, LLC is seeking a Construction Estimator to prepare estimates for complex civil, mining, geotechnical, and environmental projects. The role supports ROM to unit pricing estimates and requires collaboration with project managers and subcontractors to ensure accurate cost projections.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of estimating experience, relevant degrees, and proficiency in MS Office, Blue Beam, and estimating software such as HCSS Heavy Bid, Primavera P6, or AutoCAD Civil

Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction project estimating experience related to environmental remediation, mine reclamation, decommissioning & demolition, geotechnical, soil and/or earthwork construction projects.
• Associates or bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Environmental Science, or equivalent construction estimating experience is favorable.
• Previous operations or project management experience with strong estimating skills related to earthwork would be a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze RFPs, plans, and amendments to determine scope, costs, preparation time, schedules, materials, labor and manpower estimates.
• Review construction documents, understand scope of work, and break it down into definable tasks.
• Prepare and review take-offs from related construction documents.
• Calculate and prepare cost analysis for materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and overhead.
• Develop and maintain resource information related to products, vendors, subcontractors, and government requirements.
• Develop ROM, budgetary, time and material, cost reimbursable, lump sum, and unit pricing estimates for remediation and geotechnical projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to promote understanding of the scope, changes, and risk mitigation.
• Work with the proposal department on technical approaches and work plans.
