The position requires excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset while maintaining the highest ethical standards in estimating activities. Qualifications
Thorough understanding of construction documents, plans, specifications, and contract requirements.
Knowledge of architectural design principles and building components.
Understanding of federal, state, and local building codes and regulations.
Responsibilities
Review and analyze bid documents including drawings and specifications.
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop comprehensive cost estimates.
Prepare professional proposals for submission.
Build and maintain relationships with clients.
Skills
Strong construction experience in drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, and exterior cladding trades
Proficiency in On-Screen Takeoff (OST)
Strong negotiation skills related to vendor pricing
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Tools
Quick Bid software
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
