This role involves preparing cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing bid documents and performing quantity takeoffs. Candidates should have strong construction experience, proficiency with On-Screen Takeoff and Quick Bid software, and be skilled in client negotiations. The position requires excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset while maintaining the highest ethical standards in estimating activities. Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of construction documents, plans, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Knowledge of architectural design principles and building components.
• Understanding of federal, state, and local building codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze bid documents including drawings and specifications.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop comprehensive cost estimates.
• Prepare professional proposals for submission.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients.

Skills

Strong construction experience in drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, and exterior cladding trades

Proficiency in On-Screen Takeoff (OST)

Strong negotiation skills related to vendor pricing

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Tools

Quick Bid software

Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
