Join Our Team as an Estimator or Assistant Estimator

Arris Contracting, a leading construction management and planning company, is seeking an Estimator or Assistant Estimator to join our expert team. As an Estimator or an Assistant Estimator, you will support our Project Managers, Planning Consultants, and the Cost Estimating team by providing critical cost estimation and analysis services. Primary Responsibilities

1. Project estimation including quantity takeoffs, data entry, receiving quotes on products/services and cost analysis.
2. Updating the company database by review of quotes received on products/services and contractor schedule of values.
3. Communicating effectively with the Owner and A/E team, presenting budgets/estimates, and preparing budget cost comparisons.
4. Developing bids and procurement of subcontractors for construction projects.
5. Quantity takeoff using On-Screen Takeoff (OST) and Vertigraph Siteworx/OS.
6. Prepare project cost summaries using Microsoft Excel and Bluebeam Revu.
7. Cost load a project schedule using Primavera P6.
8. Review of change orders or changes to projects.
9. Work closely with Architects and Engineers.
10. Basic knowledge of construction principles, techniques, and procedures.
11. Skilled in the use of computer software including Microsoft Office.
12. Ability to read construction project plans and specifications.
13. Ability to effectively present information in oral, written and graphic form.
14. Demonstrated skills in organizing and evaluating information.
15. Critical thinking and problem solving.
16. Strong math skills, close attention to details.
17. Experience in managing multiple activities and tasks.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree preferred but not required, with a focus on construction management, architecture, or engineering.

Work Environment: Ability to work in various environments, including office settings and construction sites. Occasional travel to project sites is required.
