Building Automation Systems (BAS) Controls Estimator

Remote – Work from Anywhere in the U.S.

Currently seeking an experienced Building Automation Estimator to join a dynamic team driving innovation in mission-critical data centers and cutting-edge building automation projects. As a BAS Controls Estimator, you’ll play a crucial role in developing accurate project cost estimates, collaborating with top engineers and business leaders, and ensuring competitive pricing for high-impact automation solutions.

Responsibilities

• Estimate & Analyze – Review project specifications, drawings, and data to develop precise cost estimates for labor, materials, and subcontractor costs.
• Proposal Development – Work alongside business development teams to create competitive, well-documented proposals.
• Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination – Gather and evaluate bids, negotiate pricing, and ensure cost-effective solutions.
• Client Interaction – Communicate with clients to clarify project needs and present estimates in a clear, compelling way.
• Project Handover – Work closely with project teams to ensure a seamless transition from estimate to execution.
• Continuous Improvement – Stay ahead of industry trends, refine estimation tools, and optimize cost strategies.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 3 years of estimating experience in BAS or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of building automation systems, including HVAC, controls, and electrical systems.
• Experience with estimating software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple projects.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and other estimating platforms.
