Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in construction estimation, across healthcare, education, commercial and high-end residential sectors.
• Strong ability to interpret plans and specifications and extract quantities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage relationships with subs and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specs and performing quantity takeoffs.
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers for competitive pricing.
• Review design documents for potential cost and constructability issues.
• Evaluate cost saving strategies while preserving project integrity.
• Assist in pre-construction efforts with cost information and strategies.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.
• Continuously refine estimating techniques to reflect market trends.

Responsibilities

• 1. Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications and performing quantity take-offs for select trades.
• 2. Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure comprehensive, accurate, and competitive pricing.
• 3. Review design documents for potential cost and constructability issues.
• 4. Evaluate and recommend cost saving strategies while maintaining the integrity of the project.
• 5. Participate in pre-construction efforts, providing cost information and strategies to project teams.
• 6. Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
• 7. Continuously update and refine estimating techniques and strategies to keep up with market trends and construction methods.

Qualifications

• 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimation, specifically within the sectors of healthcare, higher education, schools, commercial, and high-end residential construction.
• 2. Proficiency in cost estimation and construction management.
• 3. Strong knowledge and understanding of construction blueprints and their interpretation.
• 4. Experience with both ground-up and remodel construction, as well as renovations.
• 5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to create accurate cost estimates.
• 6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and team members.
• 7. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• 8. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• 9. Proficiency in construction estimating software is a plus.
• 10. Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
