Job summary

STRUCTURAL NY General Repair is seeking a Construction Estimator to support self‑performed structural and concrete restoration projects in the New York City metro area. You will prepare detailed cost estimates from drawings, specs, and site conditions and coordinate with clients and internal teams to define scope and pricing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of progressive estimating experience, with strong preference for candidates experienced in self‑performed concrete restoration.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare comprehensive cost estimates by performing detailed quantity takeoffs, applying labor productivity and production rate analysis, procuring material and equipment pricing, soliciting and evaluating subcontractor proposals, and integrating all project cost components into a complete and accurate estimate.
  • Develop conceptual, budgetary, and final bid estimates while defining and quantifying project scope based on drawings, specifications, and site conditions to ensure full scope coverage and risk identification.
  • Develop preliminary construction schedules, including sequencing, phasing, and duration assumptions, to support pricing accuracy and bid strategy.
  • Lead bid review meetings with internal stakeholders to align on pursuit strategy, validate pricing assumptions, and ensure comprehensive and accurate final submissions.
  • Develop comprehensive proposals, including clearly defined scopes of work, project approach, and detailed inclusions and exclusions to ensure clarity, completeness, and risk mitigation.
  • Proactively engage with clients and industry partners throughout the bid process to obtain feedback, strengthen relationships, and support ongoing business development efforts.
  • Collaborate with operations, project management, and field teams to ensure smooth project handoff.

Construction Estimator – Structural / Concrete Restoration
