Job summary

Brilliant® in Mishawaka/Indiana area is seeking a Heavy Civil Estimator to join a hands-on team working on earthwork, utilities, site development, and demolition projects.

You will independently build estimates using labor, equipment, materials, production rates, subcontractor pricing, and field conditions. On-site, detail-driven work requires strong plan reading and cost understanding for accurate bids.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil
• Ability to read civil plans and specifications independently
• Experience with HeavyBid, Procore, AGTEK, Bluebeam, B2W or similar estimating tools

Responsibilities

• Develop estimates using labor, equipment, materials, production rates, subcontractor pricing and field conditions
• Work on earthwork, excavation, grading, underground utilities, demolition, trucking and site development projects
• Read plans and specifications independently and produce accurate bids

We’re partnering with an established construction company in East South Bend that is looking to add a Heavy Civil Estimator to its team.

*Schedule: 100% onsite*

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands‑on with the numbers and understands how projects are actually built in the field — not just someone doing basic takeoffs.

You’ll work on projects involving earthwork, excavation, grading, underground utilities, demolition, trucking, and site development, while independently building estimates using labor, equipment, materials, production rates, subcontractor pricing, and field conditions.

What we’re looking for:

• 3–5+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil, excavation, underground utilities, or site development


• Strong understanding of field production, equipment, labor, and job costing


• Ability to read civil plans and specifications independently


• Experience with HeavyBid, Procore, AGTEK, Bluebeam, B2W, or similar estimating tools
