Job Description

As an Estimator at PROCON, you will play a crucial role in the preconstruction phase by developing accurate cost estimates for our construction projects. Your ability to analyze project documents and specifications will ensure that projects are completed within budget and meet our high standards. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and proficiency in construction management software.

Responsibilities:

• Review construction documents to understand the scope of work.
• Perform detailed take-offs and input data into spreadsheets.
• Obtain pricing for materials and subcontractor services.
• Prepare comprehensive cost analyses, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
• Provide design team with pricing guidance.
• Identify and inform supervisors of any discrepancies in quoted items or database entries.
• Develop and maintain resource information on products, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Contribute to a proactive, accountable estimating culture by taking ownership of deliverables, promoting clear communication, and embracing continuous learning.
  
  

Qualifications

• 4 years of related experience in estimating.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Works well within a team, excellent communication skills and negotiation abilities.
• Able to confidently present estimates independently
• Relevant training or experience in construction management or a related field.
• Familiarity with construction management software, including Procore, Sage, and Bluebeam.
• Ability to occasionally travel to job sites throughout the Northeast.
• High integrity with sound ethical judgment
