We’re conducting a confidential search on behalf of our client, a well-established and growing full-service contracting firm in Western New York. With over 30 years of success in commercial, civil, and utility construction, they’ve built a reputation for delivering high-quality projects, fostering strong industry relationships, and driving proactive problem-solving on job sites.

This is a full-time opportunity for a skilled Estimator to join their preconstruction team. You’ll collaborate closely with experienced professionals and executive leadership on impactful site development and general contracting projects across the region.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop accurate, competitive bids and detailed cost estimates
• Perform quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment
• Evaluate plans, drawings, and specifications
• Solicit and analyze quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
• Conduct site visits and validate project conditions
• Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities
• Support internal bid reviews and project handoffs

What We’re Looking For:

• 8+ years of estimating experience in construction (site development or general contracting required)
• Prior work on Utility (Electric/Gas) projects is highly preferred
• Proficient in estimating and project management software (Procore a +)
• Skilled in reading/interpreting civil, architectural, and structural drawings
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is a plus
