Job summary

Alta Equipment Group in Scarborough, ME is hiring a full-time Construction Equipment Shop Foreman to diagnose, repair, and prep equipment while mentoring technicians. You will oversee quality inspections, tools and inventory, and work with management to minimize downtime and maximize shop productivity.

The role requires strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics and electrical systems, plus experience with diagnostics and maintenance management.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing construction equipment in a service or dealership setting.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, powertrains, hydraulics and electrical systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software and electronic troubleshooting tools.
• Demonstrated leadership, mentoring and team development abilities.
• Strong communication, problem solving and organizational skills.
• Experience with maintenance management, inventory or service reporting.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
• Technical certifications or manufacturer training preferred.
• Ability to train and mentor others; computer skills are a plus.

Responsibilities
