Job summary

H.O. Penn Machinery is seeking a Construction Equipment Rental Sales Representative in the Bronx, NY. The role emphasizes promoting rental of Cat and allied equipment and building strong customer relationships in the territory.

You will prospect and develop new accounts, manage leads and sales records, and collaborate with inside sales and rental coordinators to fulfill orders, with uncapped commission and ramp support in the first year.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of equipment rental business, (experience within rental sales highly preferred).
• Ability to prospect and cultivate new accounts – strong business development skills.
• Strong organizational experience to manage leads, customer information, and sales records effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers.
• PC Proficient, (including high proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office and other software).
• Good influencing skills and economically motivated.
• Must have a valid driver’s license for travel.

Responsibilities

• Achievement of overall branch goals through promotion of profitable rental of Cat & Allied equipment, and sales of Allied equipment in the assigned sales territory.
• Continually identify and contact new and existing customers in the assigned territory to influence their buying and rental decision making.
• Provide high quality coverage of the assigned territory, including servicing existing accounts and developing new accounts within market segments.
• Use selling tools to promote Caterpillar and allied equipment and services, and process orders with team collaboration.
