Position Scope

The Heavy Equipment Operator must be able to operate a skid steer, loader, dozer, crusher, or excavator according to project specifications. The individual will be responsible for servicing and maintaining equipment daily. This position requires travel.

Primary Duties

• Operate equipment efficiently to maintain production goals
• Assist with setup and tear down of plants
• Perform general maintenance, repair, and service equipment as required or directed by supervisor
• Maintain general housekeeping of equipment and plants daily or as directed by supervisor
• Lift objects weighing up to 80 lb regularly
• Use a shovel to move material as necessary
• Perform all duties within safety guidelines set by MSHA and company policy
• Perform pre-shift inspections on equipment prior to startup
• Adhere to safety policies, procedures, and standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to operate equipment efficiently to meet project specifications
• Mechanical knowledge of equipment and routine maintenance skills
• Basic knowledge of welding and cutting torch use
• Acceptable MVR per Fisher's Vehicle Program policy
• Willingness to obtain MSHA part 46 and/or 48 certification (company pays for training)
• Ability to work under adverse weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and snow
• Pass a pre-employment drug test
• Work well in a team environment
• Travel required
