Job summary

Suncore Construction & Materials is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator in Utah. You will safely operate loaders, dozers, trackhoes, and related equipment to excavate, grade, and prepare job sites.

Read plans, measure layouts, and assist laborers while maintaining a strong safety focus in outdoor conditions. Candidates should have at least 1 year of equipment operation experience, ability to lift 50 lbs, and read grade stakes.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• At least 1 year of experience operating a loader, dozer, or trackhoe.
• Ability to read plans and grade stakes.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Strong attention to safety.
• Ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment, including trackhoes, backhoes, graders, loaders, skid steers, crushing equipment, and dozers.
• Excavate trenches, load trucks, and grade pads and floors.
• Read and understand plans, instructions, and specifications.
• Measure, mark, and record openings and distances to lay out work areas.
• Teach and direct laborers as needed.
• Grease, oil, and perform minor equipment repairs using hand tools and other basic equipment.
• Follow company safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
