Job summary

Suncore Construction & Materials is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate heavy machinery and support excavation, grading, and site layouts. You will read plans, lay out work areas, and collaborate with crew to ensure quality and safety on projects.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• At least 1 year of experience operating a loader, dozer, or trackhoe.
• Ability to read plans and grade stakes.
• Ability to bend, sit for extended periods, and work in outdoor conditions, including heat.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Strong attention to safety.
• Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment, including trackhoes, backhoes, graders, loaders, skid steers, crushing equipment, and dozers.
• Excavate trenches, load trucks, and grade pads and floors.
• Read and understand plans, instructions, and specifications.
• Measure, mark, and record openings and distances to lay out work areas.
• Teach and direct laborers as needed.
• Grease, oil, and perform minor equipment repairs using hand tools and other basic equipment.
• Follow company safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
