Job summary

The University at Buffalo is seeking Construction Equipment Operators within Campus Operations. You will operate, service, load and unload large motor vehicles and assist with snow and ice removal during the winter season.

Responsibilities include handling heavy equipment such as packers, backhoes, dump trucks, and loaders, performing routine maintenance, and supporting turf and planting projects on campus.

Qualifications

• Operate large grounds maintenance equipment (>=33% of shift).
• Perform routine servicing and minor repairs on motorized and non-motorized equipment.
• Drive large delivery vehicles, load/unload, transport freight.

• Assisting with spraying, turf repair, fertilizing, grass cutting, pruning and planting projects
• Driving large delivery vehicles, loading and unloading, and transporting freight
• Routine service on motorized/ non-motorized vehicles and equipment which includes changing tires, lubrication, check and add fluids, install/remove snow plows, and perform minor repairs
• Moving cargo on and off vehicles
• Removing snow and ice from paved surfaces
• Performing manual labor associated with maintaining campus grounds

Job description

The University at Buffalo is currently seeking Construction Equipment Operators within Campus Operations.
