NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic is seeking an Engineering Technician (Construction) to oversee review of contractor quality assurance programs, advise on technical aspects of engineering systems, and apply advanced construction site management principles to resolve complex issues. The position requires experience with construction management, reading plans and specs, and using scheduling software to track progress.

You will ensure compliance with contract criteria and maintain knowledge of construction

Qualificações

• Reviewing, assessing and resolving complex construction and design problems encountered during the performance of projects assigned.
• Assisting the construction engineer on technical situations requiring extensive knowledge of engineering practices and construction methods.
• Reviewing project plans and specifications prior to contract award for technical soundness, compliance with requirements and to determine practicability from a construction management standpoint.
• Utilizing construction project scheduling software to track the progress of assigned projects.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee the review of the contractor's quality assurance management program for compliance to contract specifications.
• Advise managers on technical aspects of engineering systems to discuss and resolve difficult problems.
• Apply advanced construction site management principles to resolve complex technical disputes and coordinate demanding execution schedules.
• Maintain working knowledge of the requirements as it pertains to construction quality management.
