Job summary

Parsons is seeking an amazingly talented Construction Engineering Intern to join our team. You will perform a wide variety of construction engineering tasks on challenging projects, including temporary works design and coordination with field personnel.

The role involves reviewing drawings for constructability, maintaining QA standards, and assisting in producing temporary-works designs. Travel/relocation to site locations is expected, with CAD and Windows Office proficiency valued.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an Engineering program and completed at least one year of studies.
• Ability to read and understand Parsons policies (Safety, Quality Control, etc.).
• Ability to prepare clear and concise oral and written communications.
• Willingness to travel and relocate to construction site locations is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform discrete tasks related to construction engineering assignments including temporary works design.

What Required Skills You'll Bring

• Enrolled in Engineering curriculum at a college or university and have completed at least one year of studies in a major Engineering discipline (e.g., Civil, Construction, Mechanical, etc.).
• Ability to read and understand Parsons policies (e.g. Safety, Quality Control, etc).
• Ability to prepare clear and concise oral and written communications.
• Willingness to travel and/or relocate to construction site locations is expected.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring

• Previous related field experience on a construction site is preferred.
• Knowledge of Windows Office Systems; particularly in Excel, Word and Outlook is preferred.
• Familiarity with CAD and other software packages typically associated with engineering and construction is preferred.
• Ability to work within a dynamic team environment.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings.

Salary Range: $22.93 - $40.14
