Job summary

Parsons seeks an entry-level engineer to support a Federal Solutions team delivering services to U.S. Government customers.

Under the direction of a degreed engineer, you will help translate notes, sketches, and specifications into working drawings and learn design and drafting practices. You will collaborate with engineers, designers, and stakeholders to meet project goals, prepare technical documents, and assist with scheduling and QA activities while expanding your knowledge of industry

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in an engineering curriculum at an accredited college or university.
  • Completed typically 1+ year of studies in a major engineering discipline (e.g., Civil, Electrical, Mechanical).
  • 0+ years of typical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting engineers with technical tasks, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving.
  • Working with cross‑functional teams, including other engineers, designers, and stakeholders, to achieve project goals.
  • Preparing technical documentation, reports, and manuals.
  • Assisting with project support tasks, including scheduling, tracking progress, and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Conducting research to support engineering projects and staying updated on industry trends and technologies.
  • Participating in quality assurance processes, including inspections and audits.
  • Performing other responsibilities associated with the position as may be appropriate.

Job Description

Under the direction of a degreed engineer, performs a variety of basic to moderately‑difficult engineering projects that require a fundamental knowledge of design/drafting standards, practices, and techniques. The incumbent at this level typically takes engineering notes, specifications, rough sketches, etc., and formalizes them into working drawings. Assignments are designed to develop a practical knowledge of equipment, facilities, and systems, and their interrelationships within a particular engineering discipline. This position is part of the Federal Solutions team, which delivers resources to U.S. Government customers in defense, security, intelligence, infrastructure, and environmental fields.

Responsibilities

Skills and Competencies

  • Completed typically 1+ year of studies in a major engineering discipline (e.g., Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.).
  • 0+ years of typical experience.

Required. Successful completion of the exam(s) will be required prior to onboarding.

Salary Range

$22.93 - $40.14
