Alliant Engineering, Inc. invites you to join our employee-owned firm as a Construction Engineering Intern in Minneapolis, MN.

You will work alongside construction engineers and inspection staff in the field to learn inspection, planning, and basic design calculations while contributing to real projects that serve communities. You should be pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's in Civil Technology, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering, with at least one year of coursework remaining;

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in civil tech, construction mgmt, or related field.
• At least one year of post-secondary education remaining.
• Basic surveying and engineering calculations knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inspection and oversight of civil engineering construction projects.
• Verify conformance of contractors’ work with plans and specs.
• Prepare contractor pay estimates and maintain records.
• Coordinate materials testing activities and perform quantity calculations.
• Gather information for design and perform basic survey and design calculations.
