Job summary

HNTB Corporation in Houston is seeking a Construction Engineering & Inspection Intern for a co-op opportunity. This on-site role offers hands-on exposure to major transportation infrastructure projects and the chance to learn under close supervision, during Spring 2027 to Summer/Fall 2027 terms.

You will assist with inspection tasks in a training capacity, support the team with administrative chores, and observe field activities such as excavations, drainage structures, and traffic control

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent plus current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary inspector program.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Interest in infrastructure and transportation.

This opportunity entails being responsible for, under close supervision, assisting assigned department(s) and/or project(s) with basic inspector-related tasks which may reflect elements of standard post-secondary inspector curriculum, usually on a part-time, temporary, or co-op basis.

The Houston office is seeking a Construction Engineering & Inspection Intern for a co-op opportunity. This role provides the opportunity to contribute to impactful transportation infrastructure projects and gain industry experience in the field. Candidates may select one of the following co-op terms: Spring 2027 through Summer 2027; Summer 2027 through Fall 2027. Please note that this is an on-site opportunity, and relocation assistance or housing is not provided.
