Job summary

HNTB Corporation in Houston is seeking a Construction Engineering & Inspection Intern for a co-op opportunity. This on-site role offers hands-on exposure to major transportation infrastructure projects and the chance to learn under close supervision, during Spring 2027 to Summer/Fall 2027 terms.

You will assist with inspection tasks in a training capacity, support the team with administrative chores, and observe field activities such as excavations, drainage structures, and traffic control

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent plus current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary inspector program.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Interest in infrastructure and transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assists with daily assigned inspection tasks in a training capacity.
• Supports inspection team(s) with various administrative tasks.
• Observes inspections of excavations, drainage structures, traffic control devices, road surfaces, and structures.
• Assists on portions of special projects as directed.
• May assist in preparing project records and forming reports, as directed.
