Job summary

Luminant Generation Company LLC in Irving, Texas, is seeking a Construction Engineer - Consulting to provide general analysis and implementation of generation technologies for Vistra operations and commercial development. You will plan and manage long-range programs with 3rd party resources to meet strategic objectives and enhance technology performance at existing or developing plants.

Requires a BS in engineering (Civil preferred), PE eligibility, and proven experience in power plant

Qualifications

BS or greater in an Engineering discipline.
Civil Engineering experience highly preferred.
Licensed Professional Engineer or meets additional years of experience requirements.
Knowledge of regulatory, code and industry issues relevant to Vistra’s interests.

Responsibilities

Technical support for the development of commercial / environmental / reliability / sustainability interests in new technology applications.
Subject matter expert in areas of value to Vistra.
Technical support to Operations in the application of technologies at operating plants or plants in development.
Perform complex root cause analysis.
Provide innovative engineering solutions for difficult problems.
Contributes to economic justification/analysis for projects.
Develop and execute company engineering strategies for engineering initiatives.
