Job summary

Vistra's Luminant Generation Company LLC is seeking a Construction Engineer - Consulting in Irving, TX. The role focuses on general analysis and implementation of generation technologies for Vistra operations or commercial development.

The engineer will manage long-range programs and coordinate 3rd party resources to meet strategic objectives. The position requires a BS in Engineering (Civil preferred) and PE licensure or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering required; Civil preferred.
• PE licensure or equivalent experience considered.
• SME in engineering topics relevant to Vistra operations and development.
• Ability to support operations and development teams with technical analyses.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for development of commercial, environmental, reliability and sustainability aspects of new technology.
• Serve as SME with deep technical knowledge for Vistra interests.
• Advise Operations on applying technologies at plants under development or in operation.
• Perform complex root-cause analyses to resolve issues.
• Develop innovative engineering solutions for difficult problems.
• Mentor and develop other engineers in areas of expertise.
• Contribute to economic justification and project-level analyses.
• Help shape and execute company engineering strategies and initiatives.
