Job summary

GRAEF in Green Bay, WI is seeking an Entry Level Construction Engineer to join our established transportation team. You will contribute to field inspections, design support, and documentation on WisDOT and municipal projects, gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative office and field setting.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree, may have EIT, and have internship exposure in construction or transportation projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• EIT certification preferred.
• Relatable internship experience in construction and designing transportation/municipal projects.
• WisDOT construction experience preferred.
• Highway Technician Certifications preferred.
• Experience with Civil 3D software desired.

Responsibilities

• Construction inspection of WisDOT, county and municipal projects.
• Assist in field inspections of roadway and utility construction including sewer system, asphalt and concrete roadways.
• Perform and review material testing of concrete, asphalt and aggregates.
• Complete daily construction reports, manually or electronically.
• Prepare As-Built drawings.
• Design highway and site development improvements including roadways, site grading, drainage, water mains and sanitary sewer systems.
• Prepare local, state and federal permit applications.
• Assist in preparation of design plans, specifications and quantities.

We are considering candidates who meet the following basic qualifications:

Essential job duties may include:
