Qualifications

• Eligibility for a Louisiana Engineer Intern Certificate.
• Position may be Engineer Intern Applicant, Engineer Intern 1, or Engineer Intern 2.
• Temporary assignment until Engineer Intern certificate is obtained.

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering studies or analyses related to traffic operations, safety, signals, or traffic control.
• Reviews or prepares traffic reports, signal plans, safety studies, operational analyses, or technical documentation.
• Coordinates with DOTD districts, project teams, consultants, local officials, and other stakeholders.
• Uses traffic engineering software, data systems, or technical tools to analyze operational needs.
• Assists with recommendations related to traffic control, signal systems, safety improvements, or operational changes.
