Baxter & Woodman is looking for a Construction Engineer II for our offices in Crystal Lake or Bannockburn, IL. This role supports a variety of construction projects, including roadways and bridges, and provides opportunities for growth towards obtaining a Professional Engineering license.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience, a degree in Civil or Construction Engineering, and strong organizational skills. Our competitive compensation range is $83,000 to $100,000 per year, based on individual qualifications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven progressive experience in consultant construction engineering.
• Ability to travel throughout the service area with own transportation.
• Ability to independently handle ongoing tasks and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site observation of work, repairs, and tests as needed.
• Coordinate construction activities with clients, inspectors, and contractors.
• Maintain job site records of daily reports and pay requests.
