Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) is seeking a Construction Engineer for the Fort Pierce, Florida area. The role involves construction engineering using general engineering principles to interpret, organize, execute and coordinate assignments on projects for public agencies and private clients.

Required: ABET-accredited civil engineering program and Engineer-in-Training certification; 0–5 years of civil engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from ABET accredited program.
• Engineer-in-training certification (EIT).
• 0–5 years of civil engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field inspection and oversight of construction activities.
• Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography and other data to complete a task.
• Perform data analysis and computations to provide alternative field solutions.
• Assist in managing projects and administering contracts per client specs.
• Assist with preparing and reviewing project proposals.
• Assist in preparation of engineering documents and QA reviews.

JMT's Construction Management Team is seeking a Construction Engineer for the Fort Pierce, Florida Area. The successful candidate will be responsible for construction engineering using knowledge of general engineering principles and practices to interpret, organize, execute and coordinate assignments.

Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g. H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

• Assist with field inspection and oversight of construction activities
• Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography and other topographical or geologic data to complete a task
• Perform data analysis and computations to provide alternate field solutions
• Assist in managing projects and administering contracts in accordance with client specifications and guidelines
• Assist with preparing and reviewing project proposals
• Assist in the preparation of engineering documents and Quality Assurance reviews

Nonessential functions and responsibilities:

• Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills

• Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field from ABET accredited engineering program
• Engineer-in-training certification
