We serve clients in the Power Generation, Chemical, Plastics, Aluminum, Metal Processing, Oil Refining, and Paper Processing Industries. Responsibilities Include
  • Apply critical engineering and management thinking
  • Weld Mapping
  • Quantity tracking
  • Take Offs
  • Weld Inspections
  • Material Search
  • Assist in development and implementation of safety plans
  • Conduct site audits and material testing and analysis
  • Perform inventory checks, daily field engineering tests, and cost analyses
  • Complete change order preparations and production tracking
  • Assist with drawings (method/field) estimating, scheduling, and surveying
  • Support with procurement and quality assurance reviews
  • Maintaining files and records, copying, and scanning
  • Process charts/graphs, designs, and proposals
  • Assume additional responsibilities as directed
Qualifications / Required Skills
  • Relevant course work: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering & Management, or related program at internship time, and having completed sophomore year
  • Candidates should possess leadership potential, be problem-solvers, and be able to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • AutoCAD experience preferred
  • Construction Management skills
Physical Requirements
  • Regular use of hands and fingers to handle objects, reach with hands and arms, and communicate; ability to stand, walk, and sit; occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; occasional lifting up to 25 pounds; vision requirements include close/distant/color/peripheral/depth perception and focus adjustment
  • Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, outdoor weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, chemicals, and risk of electrical shock; proper personal protective equipment required; noise level usually moderate to high
