Job summary

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise a trade crew on a consistent basis, often 30+ employees across multiple trades.
• Communicate staffing requirements to Production Manager and participate in pre-planning for goals meetings.
• Ensure proper job staffing and monitor material, equipment and subcontractor scheduling daily.
• Enter daily time and production data; manage job cost through cost monitoring reports and forecasts.
• Attend mandatory training programs and job site meetings as scheduled.

Job Description:

Responsibilities of the position include:

• Direct and supervise a trade crew on a consistent basis and frequently direct over 30 employees and supervise multiple trades.
• Communicate staffing requirements to Production Manager.
• Participate in the pre-planning process in preparation for goals meetings.
• Ensure the job is properly staffed.
• Calculate unit costs based on quantity of material installed, hours worked, and labor dollars and take appropriate action to achieve goals.
• Enter daily time and production through E&K Austin lane entry.
• Create job specific QA tasks identified during job start process.
• Perform routine QA inspections and create report through Go Canvas App.
• Generate material orders by specific areas.
• Manage job cost through review and analyzation of job cost monitoring report.
• Monthly forecasting of job cost.
• Management of Subcontractors.
• Ensure that all materials, tools, equipment, subcontractor, and general contractor are scheduled daily and are on site in a timely manner.
• Attend and participate in all required company training programs.
• Attend all job site meetings whenever scheduled.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements for the position include:

• Completed 30hr OSHA Training.
• Completed Field Management Training
• Ability to effectively manage crews of 30+ employees.
• Knowledge and ability to supervise the use of all tools, material, equipment, and personnel.
• Knowledge of mathematics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fraction, and decimals.
• Advanced Knowledge of Bluebeam, OST, and Quick bid.
• Skill in verbal and written communication, including the ability to actively listen and express oneself clearly.
• Ability to work on ladders, scaffolds, and/or stilts.
• Ability to read detailed (blueprint) plans and specifications and comply with building codes.
• Excellent communication skills.
