Construction Driver (CDL Water Truck)
Responsible for operating water trucks on hazardous and non‑hazardous waste sites. Job includes exposure to lead, PCBs, H2S, arsenic, and other metals, chemicals, and conditions. 8+ hour workdays, 5–6 days a week.

Full‑time pay: $23.00 – $27.00 per hour plus travel pay and per diem pay.
Candidates must be open to sustained project‑based travel within the U.S. Project locations vary by assignment. Candidates may reside anywhere in the U.S.
Essential Job Functions
- Haul material in trucks to on‑site unloading area.
- Perform daily inspection and maintenance on assigned construction equipment.
- Dust control on construction projects.
- Maintain proper moisture content on dirt haul roads.
- Collaborate with heavy equipment operators to achieve optimum moisture content in backfill soils.
- May drive and operate 10‑wheel vacuum trucks and fuel trucks.
- Assist with the preparation and review of Job Safety Analyses, observations, and other reports.
- Promote the use of Stop Work Authority.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Meet deadlines and contribute to a positive, safe, high‑quality culture in a fast‑paced environment.

Physical & Visual Activities Required
- Perform physical activities that may require moving one’s whole body, such as climbing, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching, handling, balancing, walking, stooping, squatting, and related tasks.
- Use both hands, arms, feet, and legs while standing, walking, climbing, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, fingering, and feeling.
- Require hearing, speaking, distinguishing colors, peripheral vision, and hand‑to‑eye coordination. Ability to listen to and understand spoken information.
Physical Demands
- Sitting for long periods in moving, vibrating, jerking, or stationary machinery.
- Use installed equipment ladders, steps, and handholds, maintaining 3 points of contact to climb in and out of machinery regularly.
- Repetitive motion from operating hand and foot controls of equipment.
- Hand‑clean tracks and undercarriages with small tools after working in wet and sloppy conditions.
- Lift objects weighing 1–25 lbs. on a regular basis; may lift up to 50 lbs. as required.
- Work in loud or noisy environments.
Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions
- Outside construction sites.
- Rugged terrain possibly difficult to navigate.
- Dusty and windy atmospheres.
- Confined spaces.
- Potential airborne exposures to dusts, mists, fumes, and vapors within OSHA permissible exposure limits.
Personal Protective Equipment
Hard hat, ear protection (plugs or muffs), eye protection (safety glasses, goggles), safety vest, hand protection (gloves), steel‑toe boots. Negative or positive pressure respirators may be required depending on site conditions.
Qualifications
- Knowledge: Demonstrate safe operation of heavy equipment such as backhoes, bulldozers, excavators, etc., and understand their uses and limitations.
- Experience: 3–5 years’ experience operating heavy equipment, preferably in environmental remediation projects.
- Education: HS Diploma or equivalent.
- Equipment: Proficiency with rubber‑tire or tracked heavy equipment, tractors, articulated dump trucks, motor graders, scrapers, pumps, dewatering systems, pug mills, batch plants, dredges, crushers, screens, and hand & power tools.
- Licenses/Certifications: Completed OSHA HAZWOPER training with an annual 8‑hour refresher.
