Job summary

Fahrner Asphalt Sealers, established in 1979, seeks a Distributor Driver to operate an oil distributor or commercial vehicle for safe, efficient material handling. The role involves pre/post-trip DOT inspections, loading/unloading, and various manual tasks.

This full-time seasonal position requires travel within the region and per diem for overnight stays. Qualified candidates will have a Class B CDL (tanker endorsement preferred) and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Qualifications

• Must have reliable transportation.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class B with tanker endorsement required).
• Hazmat endorsement preferred or willingness to obtain one.
• Physically fit to perform the job functions.
• Willingness to be a team player and help train less experienced employees.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operate an oil distributor and/or commercial motor vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Perform daily pre/post-trip inspections with DOT-compliant documentation.
• Load and unload material into and out of the vehicle.
• Assist with manual tasks: shoveling, raking, sweeping, lifting, pushing and pulling objects.
• Clean and prepare worksites and apply application as needed.
• On-the-job training to become a productive crew member.

POSITION SUMMARY

Under direction of the Supervisor, Distributor Drivers will be responsible for operating an oil distributor and/or commercial motor vehicle, in a safe and efficient manner. A Distributor Driver's job function will include performing daily pre/post-trip inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines and loading and unloading material into and out of the vehicle. This position may also involve various manual tasks, including but not limited to the following: shoveling; raking; sweeping; mechanical assistance; lifting, pushing and pulling various objects. Individuals may also clean and prepare worksites, as well as apply application. On the job training will provide the knowledge and skills to become a productive member of one of our crews.

This position is full-time seasonal. You must be willing to travel throughout the region. Qualified overnight stay will be compensated with per diem.
