Construction Department Manager

We are seeking a dynamic leader for the role of Construction Department Manager to oversee our construction team, ensuring customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and successful project completion.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Lead department operations, aligning goals with company objectives.
  2. Identify and pursue bid opportunities through client relationships and postings.
  3. Oversee project execution, ensuring safety, budget adherence, and timely completion.
  4. Support employees in safety practices, bidding, and hazard communication.
  5. Monitor and adjust strategies to meet annual goals.
  6. Supervise staff, set goals, review performance, and provide mentorship.
  7. Collaborate with HR to address employee needs.
  8. Manage department budget, enforce margin structures, and ensure profitability.
  9. Develop growth strategies, expand sales, and maintain client relationships.
  10. Stay informed on industry competition and adapt strategies accordingly.
  11. Report progress at financial meetings.
  12. Guide Field Superintendents and improve field communication.
  13. Foster a team-oriented environment and loyalty.
  14. Conduct site visits, participate in meetings, and adhere to policies.
  15. Perform additional tasks as needed, maintaining a teamwork attitude.
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
  • Minimum of 5 years management experience.
  • Proven project management skills meeting timelines and budgets.
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and construction plans.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Discretion handling confidential information.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
