Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Construction Attorney in Tampa, FL for a permanent, on-site role. The attorney will represent owners, developers, contractors, design professionals, and insurers in complex construction defect disputes across Florida.

The ideal candidate has Florida bar admission, 2+ years of construction litigation, and strong Florida construction law knowledge with a proactive, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• 2+ years handling construction defect or construction litigation.
• Strong knowledge of Florida construction defect statutes and case law.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage matters from inception through resolution.

Responsibilities

• Handle construction defect matters involving residential, multifamily, commercial, and mixed-use projects.
• Represent clients in state and federal court litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
• Draft and respond to construction defect notices, pleadings, motions, discovery, and expert reports.
• Analyze construction contracts, plans, specifications, and related project documentation.
• Work with engineers, architects, and contractors as needed.
• Conduct and defend depositions; participate in hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Advise clients on risk management, claim evaluation, and dispute resolution strategies.
• Collaborate with partners on complex, multi-party disputes.
• Assist with client development and maintain strong client relationships.
