Green Shield Deck Builders is hiring a Crew Leader to oversee a 3-person crew and build high-quality residential decks from start to finish. This W-2 role offers year-round, full-time work with a company vehicle and opportunities for career growth.

You will lead day-to-day operations, ensure safety and quality, and mentor junior crew members on residential projects across Michigan. Travel to sites is daily, with a stable schedule and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in residential construction, landscaping, or general labor.
• At least 1 year of carpentry and framing experience.
• At least 1 year of leadership or management experience.
• Willingness and ability to travel to residential build sites daily (150 mile radius).
• Must be at least 18 years old.

As a Crew Leader, you’ll play a key role in overseeing job-site execution, supporting crew performance, and ensuring high-quality builds.

What You’ll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver’s license (required)
• Reliable personal vehicle (required)
• Willingness and ability to travel to residential build sites daily (required) 150 mile radius
• At least 3 years of experience in residential construction, landscaping, or general labor
• At Least 1 year of carpentry and framing experience
• At least 1 year of leadership or management experience
• Ability to work full-time, Monday–Friday (with occasional overtime)
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs consistently throughout the day
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
