Job summary

HD Fowler Company, a long‑standing family-owned distributor of waterworks and related equipment, is seeking a full‑time Credit Account Specialist in Bellevue, WA. The role focuses on accounts receivable within construction contexts, credit decision support, and lien-related protections, supported by comprehensive training.

We offer an in‑office schedule Monday–Friday 7AM–5PM, competitive benefits, and a robust time‑off and retirement program.

Qualifications

1-2 years of accounts receivable experience within commercial or residential construction.
Professional verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Strong attention to detail; ability to meet deadlines.
Proven problem solving and decision making abilities.
Excellent customer service skills are required.
Self-directed, independent and a team player with strong initiative.
Exposure to accounting concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

Call on customers for the collection of accounts receivable.
Research additional information as needed to support credit decisions and recommendations to Credit Manager.
Set up project files and research ownership for lien rights protection.
File pre-lien notices on accounts.
Reconcile customer accounts and alert Credit Manager of concerns.
Monitor and file lien and bond claims as necessary.
