Job summary

Origin Funding is seeking a Portfolio Manager and Underwriter to own the credit side from term sheet to payoff for construction projects in Greater Boston. The role combines underwriting, closing, monitoring, and workouts, working directly with the principal who makes the investment decisions.

You will underwrite new deals, run closes with outside counsel, monitor progress, visit sites, and manage extensions and workouts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in real estate underwriting or construction credit.
• Experience with workout negotiations and lender contacts.
• Ability to read budgets, loan docs and schedules.
• Comfortable in Excel and pro forma analyses.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new deals: budget, schedule, sponsorship, terms, exit.
• Close deals with outside counsel and sponsors’ attorneys.
• Monitor projects: budget vs. actuals, draws, milestones.
• Manage extensions, workouts and investor reporting.
