Job summary

Skilled Workforce offers a U.S. Department of Labor Registered Pre-Apprenticeship Programs in construction. The Construction Craft Laborer track combines hands-on training with NCCER curriculum to prepare you for real-world careers in skilled trades.

The program runs 4–5 weeks for pre-apprenticeship and 2 years full-time apprenticeship, with pay starting at $17/hour and rising to $25/hour upon completion. Safety, tools, and blueprint skills are taught.

Qualifications

• Physical stamina: Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Minimum requirements: Must be 18 years old and have a valid ID.

Responsibilities

• Safety first: OSHA-10 certification and site safety protocols.
• Tools of the trade: Mastering pneumatic tools, earth compactors, and surveying equipment.
• Specialized skills: Concrete placement, masonry, blueprint reading, and environmental remediation.
• Project management: Understanding the lifecycle of a construction site.
