Job summary

Quality Technology Services, LLC seeks a Corporate Counsel (Construction) to oversee the company’s construction and procurement contracting terms and to negotiate with the Development team on large-scale projects. This role also involves advising on regulatory, health and environmental matters and coordinating with contractors and utility providers.

The ideal candidate holds a U.S.-accredited JD, Bar admission, and at least two years of corporate transactional or construction-focused experience,

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentials.
• Admission to the Bar of a U.S. state or the District of Columbia.
• Two or more years of legal experience in corporate transactional practice or construction-focused practice.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction and procurement contracting terms and process; negotiate and manage contracts with Development team.
• Advise on regulatory, health and environmental matters regarding development projects.
• Negotiate with contractors and utility providers.
• Structure project-related documents (vendor/supply agreements, O&M agreements, and similar).
• Support project financing transactions.
• Assist with regulatory, permitting, environmental, due diligence and real estate matters.
• Work with outside counsel, partners, customers, and third parties.
• Handle a broad range of legal matters as assigned by the General Counsel.
