Job summary

QTS Data Centers in Irving, TX seeks a seasoned Corporate Counsel - Construction to oversee construction and procurement contracts, advise on regulatory and environmental matters, and support project financing. You will negotiate with contractors and utility providers, structure vendor and O&M agreements, and manage outside counsel and other transactional matters as needed by the General Counsel.

This role requires a JD, bar admission, and 2+ years in corporate transactional or construction

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentials.
• Admission to the Bar of a U.S. state or the District of Columbia.
• Two or more years of legal experience as a practicing lawyer in corporate transactional or construction-focused practice.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction and procurement contracting; negotiate with Development team.
• Advise on regulatory, health and environmental matters for development projects.
• Negotiate with contractors and utility providers.
• Structure project documents including vendor, supply, O&M agreements.
• Support project financing transactions.
• Manage outside counsel and related third parties; handle other transactional matters as needed.
• Assist with permits, due diligence, real estate, and other matters as assigned.
