Job summary

Turner & Townsend in the United States is seeking a Cost Controller to manage project budgets, forecasts and cost reporting. You will implement robust cost control processes, extract data from multiple sources, and ensure accuracy for large-scale projects in a dynamic environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field and 3–5 years of cost management experience, with familiarity in SAP and PMIS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant cost management experience in the construction industry.
• Experience supporting cost management on medium to large-sized construction projects; consultancy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement, administer and maintain cost control systems to track budgets, commitments, expenditures and forecasts for projects of medium complexity and value.
• Assist in preparation and review of cost estimates.
• Provide cost information to support decision making and alternative selection.
• Evaluate and analyze fee proposals/bids and provide recommendations for decision making.
• Provide forecasts and cash flow analysis.
• Maintain and manage the cost report and provide regular updates on financial position.
• Assist in developing, validating and maintaining the project schedule.
• Develop reporting tracking tools and generate cost reports, including earned value.
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
