Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Cost Controller for our North American projects. You will implement cost control systems, track budgets, commitments and forecasts across medium complexity projects, and support decision making with cost data.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in construction-related field and at least 5 years in cost management. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential for success in this environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant cost management experience in construction.
• Experience supporting cost management on medium/large projects.
• Construction consultancy experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters and value engineering.
• Strong communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement, administer and maintain cost control systems and procedures for project budgets, commitments, expenditures and forecasts.
• Assist in preparation and review of cost estimates.
• Provide cost information to support decision making and alternatives selection.
• Evaluate and analyze fee proposals/bids and provide recommendations.
• Provide forecasts and cash flow analysis.
• Maintain cost reports and provide regular updates on financial position.
• Assist in project scheduling development and validation.
• Develop reporting tools and generate cost reports, including earned value evaluation.
• Build intricate spreadsheets for large data manipulation and data reconciliation.
