Job summary

Financial Additions seeks a Construction Cost Accountant for a growing Real Estate Development company in the Fort Worth area. This in-office role will manage construction job costing, budgets, draw support and financial analysis across multiple projects.

The candidate should have 5+ years of cost accounting experience in construction, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, and strong knowledge of WIP reporting and construction contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 5+ years cost accounting experience in a construction environment is required.
• WIP reporting experience is required.
• Understanding of construction contracts and subcontractor agreements is required.

Responsibilities

• General Ledger – Reconciliations, journal entries, month-end cost accounting close.
• Allocate invoices to projects.
• Monitor budget to actual.
• Assist with forecasting on projects and variance analysis.
• Prepare lender draw requests and track draw status.
• WIP reporting and cash flow reporting.
• May wear other hats as needed.
