Job summary

Odin Construction, headquartered in Northern California with offices across the nation, is seeking a Cost Accountant who will perform advanced cost accounting analyses and compare estimated costs to actual costs. This role involves preparing budget reports and ensuring accurate revenue recognition across projects.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration and at least two years of cost accounting experience, with proficiency in GAAP, Microsoft Office,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration required.
• At least two years of cost accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather and compile all related cost information.
• Generate monthly invoices and track cash receipts.
• Generate and track production on project activities.
• Predict revenue recognition and maintain accuracy.
• Maintain project purchase orders and subcontracts.
• Predict and record variable costs.
• Review daily timecards for coding accuracy and GAAP compliance.
• Analyze actual costs to identify variances and profit margins.
• Close out project documentation and lien releases.
• Perform month-end and year-end closings with assistance.
• Handle other related duties as assigned.
