Job summary

Odin Labs, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant with 5+ years in construction accounting to manage accounts receivable, billing submissions, and lien waivers. You will liaise between Odin and client accounting teams to ensure timely, compliant invoicing and cost tracking across multiple projects.

You will work closely with project managers to track costs, variations, and change orders, supporting the organization’s growth in the construction sector.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience in the construction industry with subcontractor billing responsibilities.
• Hands-on experience submitting complex billing packages to General Contractors via portals like Textura/Procore.
• Thorough understanding of AIA billing, schedule of values, and %‑of‑completion methods.
• Excellent communication with GC accounting teams, PMs, and internal ops.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent hands‑on experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit monthly progress billings and forecasts per contract requirements.
• Collect and manage lien waivers, COIs, and compliance documentation for payments.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, and forecasts against the plan.
• Track change orders and incorporate them into billing cycles.
• Manage AR aging and coordinate with GC accounting to optimize cash flow.
• Reconcile costs with project managers and document variances.
