Job summary

DLB Associates is seeking an intern for construction management exposure. You will support contractors and owner representatives across project phases, assist with planning, field coordination, QA, scheduling, safety, and delivery, and help document progress and closeout activities.

You will learn commissioning processes for electrical, mechanical, and controls systems, and gain hands-on experience with Procore, MS Office, and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Beginner knowledge of construction and project management principles including scheduling, budgeting, coordination, and materials used in commercial or mission-critical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Support contractor and owner's representative throughout all phases of mission-critical construction projects.
• Assist with project planning, field coordination, quality assurance, scheduling, safety, and project delivery.
• Track project progress, maintain documentation, and coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.
• Support reporting, risk management, issue resolution, and day-to-day construction operations.
• Assist with contract administration, document tracking (submittals, RFIs, change orders), and monitoring schedules and budgets.
• Prepare reports and presentations summarizing project progress and key metrics.
• Support field teams in verifying installations meet design and quality standards.
• Document construction activities through photos, logs, and progress summaries.
• Collect and organize closeout documentation.
• Learn about risk management, safety, and quality assurance practices on job sites.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to project improvement discussions.
• Maintain professional communication and collaboration with team members and contractors.
• Leverage AI-enabled and digital tools to enhance efficiency and support high-quality work output.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and adopt emerging technologies.
