Job summary

FG Construction, LLC is seeking an experienced Construction Controller in Florida to lead accounting, financial reporting, purchasing, A/P, and project cost functions. This hands-on leadership role requires construction accounting expertise and Sage 100 Contractor experience.

You will supervise the Accounts Payable and Purchasing Coordinators, collaborate with project managers on profitability, and ensure accurate job costing, WIP reporting, and compliant AIA billings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Minimum five years of progressive accounting experience in construction.
• Direct experience as a Controller or senior construction accountant.
• Hands-on proficiency with Sage 100 Contractor.
• Experience with AIA G702 and G703 payment applications.
• Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP reporting, and close processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger accounting and month-end close.
• Prepare financial statements, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Maintain Sage 100 Contractor chart of accounts and structure.
• Oversee AIA billing, schedules of values, and receivables.
• Direct purchasing oversight and accounts payable.
• Lead internal controls and team performance in finance and procurement.
