Job summary

Leoforce is seeking a dynamic Controller to lead all accounting and financial operations for a construction-focused organization in Rochester, NY. You will oversee GAAP-compliant financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, and internal controls while guiding a capable accounting team.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in senior finance, deep GAAP knowledge, experience with Sage Intacct, and the ability to influence strategic decisions alongside the CFO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or MBA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
• Knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring GAAP compliance.
• Maintain internal controls for revenue, costs, and budgets/expenditures.
• Coordinate audit activity and management of annual financial statements.
• Implement consistent accounting policies across programs and compliance with laws.
• Develop and manage financial controls per company procedures.
• Communicate financial metrics to senior management and support AP/AR.
• Manage payroll preparation for personnel.
• Keep up-to-date with technology and new systems.
• Lead regular accounting team meetings and training.
