Job summary

Solid Rock Recruiting, LLC. is looking for a hands-on Controller for an established construction company in Hartford, CT. The role reports to ownership and oversees all accounting and financial operations.

Responsibilities include month-end close, WIP reporting, job costing, cash flow forecasting, AP/AR oversight, banking relations, and coordination with the outside CPA for tax and year-end reporting. Construction-focused experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong construction accounting background.
• Experience with WIP, job costing and construction financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• Construction experience strongly preferred.
• Hands-on approach with the ability to work directly with ownership and operations.

Responsibilities

• Monthly financial reporting and month-end close.
• WIP reporting and revenue recognition.
• Job costing and profitability analysis.
• Cash flow management and forecasting.
• Oversight of AP and AR.
• Banking relationships and financial reporting.
• Work with outside CPA on tax, audit and year-end reporting.
• Maintain accounting processes, controls and compliance.
• Provide financial reporting to ownership and project management.
