Job summary

CLA Wealth Advisors, LLC seeks a Construction Controller for the CAAS team in Lakeland or Tampa, Florida. You will develop internal controls, oversee budgeting and cash management, and prepare financial statements and forecasts for key stakeholders.

Required: bachelor’s degree and 7 years of relevant accounting experience; CPA preferred but not required. Travel to client sites is frequent; experience with QuickBooks and MS Office is beneficial. This is a client-focused leadership role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; combination of related experience may be accepted.
• CPA certification preferred but not required.
• 7 years of relevant accounting/financial experience required.
• Construction industry and back-office accounting experience highly preferred.
• Proficiency with accounting software; QuickBooks experience preferred; Excel/Word/Outlook required.

Responsibilities

• Develop internal control policies and procedures for budgeting, cash, credit, and accounting.
• Coordinate financial planning, budgeting, procurements, and investment activities.
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and position forecasts for regulators and boards.
• Monitor KPIs and advise management on financial objectives and actions.
